Our banana fiber and yarn production line was operated in 2016 as one of our latest green products,the raw material is banana stem bast imported from Philippines, Through the biological scoured process to get rid of the gum, hemicellulose, xylogen and fructose to get the final banana cellulose fiber as textile used material.The production is in completely natural process, there isn't any chemical agent involved except the biological enzyme and boiling the bast fiber in soda solution to get rid of the gum.
The general step is:
Pre-acid treatment-----Soda solution boiling----Steam boiling----Bleaching----Acid washing----useful banana cellulose fiber.
Due to the banana fiber is made from stem bast, the fiber strength is strong and similar with flax.But the hand feeling is much better than flax fiber.The banana fiber owns better cool feeling and moisture absorption than cotton with full hand feeling, So the banana/cotton blends become a new star in the textile.Adding the fiber belong to acid fiber, which owns the natural anti- bacteria function, it can be used for home textile,baby used textile etc. to protect the families. Currently our banana textile is banana roving
and yarn in different spec.
